Almost time for Euros!

We are only a short bit away from the Euro! Who here will be watching? What groups/matches are you anticipating, and what is exciting and worrying you about the team you are supporting?

As a Germany fan, of course, I'm pretty worried about the group of death and am hoping that the Bundesjogi will work his magic. S: I'm also interested in whether England will get out of the group, given that I live in England and thus always find the press hysteria amusing, and Group A is so open that it's shocking, too, plus Germany will probably end up playing someone from that group in the quarterfinals, so.

Dear mod, can we get a tag for the Euros? :D

I will be watching all the matches that I can! :D I am Scottish but even if they got there I would be backing Spain all the way. Love mai boys :3 I'm amused to see England's group but dreading how the press will be in the UK until they get kicked out (I don't think they can win it) I get enough of the 'us against the world' crap at Real Madrid because we've got Mourinho and his insanity tyvm.

I'm really interested to see how France rebound after their World Cup of utter fail. Team mutiny and coaches quitting half way through. It was insanity! They seem to be more together now but I don't know if you can just put that behind you and move on right away. Shall be interesting.

I support Germany, too. My gut is telling me they'll be either brilliant or completely horrific (judging by the last two games). I'm worried about Özil, Schweini and several defenders. The group also has the potential to exhaust everyone in it. I really, really hate when there are two host countries, hence the way we were grouped.

I hope England will go far. Love them too, but they were so disappointing in South Africa.

I have to say I'm sick and tired of all this Bayern Munich drama. They may believe they have a right to every title. They don't. One team wins, all the others lose. The players probably get this, but the media is nuts. Let's move on. Euro 2012 is more important.

I must admit I like that the Jubilee is keeping a lot of the press distracted in the run-up, but I imagine they'll be as awful as usual when we get knocked out.

Mostly I'd like for the squad to quit getting injured, we're losing people left, right and centre. Though a small part of me was hoping John Terry wouldn't get the all clear after Saturday's match, but alas it wasn't to be, Cahill ruled out and Terry fit to play. And Ferdinand still doesn't get the nod, if the defense lets the team down, the press are going to crucify Hodgson for leaving Rio off the squad.

Also John Ruddy and Gareth Barry, Barry and Cahill are the ones we'll really miss.

I purchased a TV license just so I can watch the matches live. :P

Sadly I'm attempting to write a 12,000-word dissertation at the same time, which is why I've been so lax. D: I will make do with copious amounts of wine!
