Things I liked at the Euro so far
which are only tangentially related to football... but I typed this up for my journal and wanted to contribute something over here, too.
Some of my favorite things:
When the Irish fans gave everyone goosebumps in the last six minutes of their game vs. Spain. They'd lost very thoroughly (4:0) and were going home anyway, so they decided they'd go singing. Even German commenter Tom Bartels shut up!

This cracks me up every time I see it. The grinning guy is Mats Hummels, who just had a shot at the goal in the Germany/Netherlands game. The others are Dutch players arguing. He didn't even score, but he's so happy!
I have a real crush on Mats Hummels, no lie. Gomez isn't really my type (despite things like this - might be nsfw!), Podolski and Schweinsteiger don't do anything for me, but Hummels.... mmmmmm. He's even smart and playing really well at the moment!
btw, second most attractive German player: Sami Khedira.
the rain!
The Ukraine - France game was suspended after four minutes because of an impressive thunderstorm. I was really surprised that they managed to make the field ok for playing again in just an hour - the stadium must have a great drainage system.
I spent the interim on twitter collecting bad rain jokes. The ones from @spox are here - in german though.
And some actual football content: the most beautiful goal so far
Welbeck scores the winning goal against Sweden. Wow!
My happy mood might have to do with my team (Germany) winning all three games and moving on to quarter finals, of course. *g*

I finally found the manip I wanted to see as soon as I saw the picture!
